Academy with Beyond Boundaries Sarnia-Lambton
The Academy is a client-led, goal-oriented day program designed to help participants build essential life and social skills through structured small-group activities. Unlike our Adventures, with pre-set lessons to choose from, clients have the flexibility to choose their daily activities while still working toward measurable progress and goals. Operating Monday through Friday, the Academy offers 6-hour sessions in a supportive environment while maintaining a 3:1 client-to-instructor ratio. Each session integrates structured goals, interactive experiences, and opportunities for personal growth, ensuring that participants develop skills in a way that is both engaging and meaningful to them.
What to Expect in the Academy…
- Client-Led, Instructor-Guided: The Academy gives participants more control over their day. While instructors provide support, the group collaboratively decides on the activities based on shared interests and individual goals.
- Skill-Focused: Each participant selects a personal skill or goal to work on for the day. Activities are then shaped around these objectives, ensuring meaningful and engaging experiences.
- Structured Independence: While the schedule is flexible, the group follows a structured approach—starting with planning their day, executing their chosen activities, and reflecting on their progress.
- Time Commitment: Academy sessions run for 6 hours, allowing ample time for deeper skill development, teamwork, and hands-on learning.
